Celebrities at Connexions Event

Coronation Street star Jack Shepherd turned up to Connexions Activity Agreement Pilot event at the Revolution to give his support and meet some of the young people.

Jack, who plays troubled teen David Platt in the hit soap, joined the 120 young people from across Merseyside who had turned up at the Revolution to talk to Connexions Personal Advisers about the Activity Agreement Pilot.  Providers were also on hand to demonstrate some of the activities they have on offer and young people were able to sample the DJ workshop, try out Graffiti art, have their nails done or talk to providers about sport, health and other personal development activities.

Jack was joined by Hollyoaks actress Holly-Jay-Bowes, who plays Michaela McQueen, at the event as well as our local Radio City DJ Spycatcha.  Most of the young people who attended the event expressed an interest in joining the Activity Agreement Pilot programme and half of the attendees booked an appointment with a Personal Adviser to get started immediately.

The evaluation showed a very positive response from those who attended including Personal Advisers and providers.
