Rebecca Wins iTunes Voucher

Since February this year, Connexions Vacancy services Team has been piloting a new centralised vacancy matching service for young people to help them find their dream job.

To help evaluate the success of the pilot, a questionnaire was sent out to young people who had already used the service to ask them to give some feedback.

A prize draw for a £50 iTunes voucher was offered as an incentive to complete the questionnaire and we had a great response with 46 completed questionnaires returned. The lucky winner was Rebecca Hogben, age 19 of Formby (Sefton). Rebecca called into Connexions in Southport on Friday 8th August 2008 to collect her prize from Team Manager John Preston.

Rebecca was delighted to win the iTunes voucher and explained: "I think the matching service is really good, especially for people like me because I live quite far from my nearest Connexions centre. This new system means I don't have to travel to the centre every day in the hope that a new vacancy has come in. I've applied for a couple of the vacancies Connexions has sent me in the last few weeks."
